Behind closed doors, however, it is an entirely different story.
They Want Trump
There is only one candidate that Joe Biden has a reasonable chance against in 2024.
That would be Donald Trump.
I would bet everything that I own that if DeSantis were on the ticket, it would be a runaway train.
Democrats are worried about the same thing.
One Democrat strategist stated, “It’s a little bit like when Trump was president, and none of the Republicans would say what they really thought on the record.”
Democratic Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips was not so shy about it, stating, “There’s a pragmatic element of this too.
“I believe the country will be in a place where they’ll be looking for a new generation as well.”
Here’s the thing…
Fifty-two percent of Democrats in the last poll did not want Joe Biden to run for president.
Will they still vote for him? If Trump is running, you better believe they will get off their couch or fill out that ballot and mail it in.
If DeSantis is running, that motivation probably won’t be there, which is why I think DeSantis will roll in 2024 if he gets the nod.
