Billionaire Kylie Jenner faces backlash over reports that she used her private jet for short flights — short as three minutes — to avoid sitting in traffic for what might amount to a 40-minute car ride.
The outrage began on Instagram where Jenner posted a photo, showing her and rapper Travis Scott standing in front of a parked Rolls Royce and two private jets — one of which belonged to Scott and the other to Jenner.
Jenner captioned the photo —”You wanna take mine or yours?”- since posting comments has been limited on the account.
While some responses were positive, a number of them came from the global warming advocates who pointed out that private jets are not known for being eco-friendly — and that the post was tone-deaf when everyone else is being asked to embrace liberal mitigation measures that are inconvenient or uncomfortable.
Some also pointed out that Jenner’s flight records indicated a regular habit of taking short flights — ranging from three minutes to under fifteen minutes because it was more comfortable than sitting in traffic.
“Just remembered how Kylie Jenner uses her private jet to make 3 minute flights,” Emily Murnane tweeted, sharing a photo of a flight plan traveling from Camarillo, CA, to Van Nuys, CA. By air, that trip would take approximately three minutes — by car, it would be closer to forty.

Jenner reportedly bought the jet for $72.8 million just before the pandemic.
