Breaking: Free World Leader Assassinated

This is the horrific instant that former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated during a political campaign speech on Friday, July 8th. Shinzo was campaigning in support of his Liberal Democratic Party in the upcoming Parliamentary election.

Eyewitness videos published online reveal the 67-year-old political huge calmly providing a project speech in the western city of Nara when a cloud of smoke emerges after the boom of an initial shot.

Abe and those around him appear puzzled in the beginning, with the ex-prime minister gradually turning partially in the direction of the first blast– only to be felled by the 2nd shot around 3 seconds later on.

The political leader clutches his chest and gradually topples to the ground as those around him take cover.

The video cuts to individuals a number of feet away dealing with the believed shooter, recognized as disgruntled 41-year-old veteran Tetsuya Yamagami who according to reports made his own crude, makeshift shotgun to skirt some of the strictest gun-control laws in the world.

Other video reveals a stunned silence amongst those gathered at the rally as emergency services hurry to tend to Abe, who was Japan’s longest-serving leader.

Independent journalist Ian Miles Cheong tweeted a video of the assassination that claimed the life of Shinzo Abe.

The retired prime minister was airlifted to a medical facility for first aid but, was not breathing and his heart had stopped by that time.

Physicians fought hard to save Abe, however, desperately transfusing him with at least four units of blood, he passed away at 5:03 p.m. local time, about 5 and a half hours after being shot. He bled to death from 2 deep injuries, one on the right side of his neck, a physician informed a nationally telecasted press conference.

When he was brought in, the former leader had no vital signs. It was the very first assassination of a sitting or previous Japanese Prime Minister since the days of prewar militarism in 1936.

Nara prefectural police verified the arrest of Yamagami, 41, on suspicion of attempted murder.

President Donald Trump was among the first to respond to the tragedy in a statement via TruthSocial, hours before any official response from the White House.

Shortly after reports of the attack broke he wrote,

“Absolutely devastating news that former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, a truly great man and leader, has been shot, and is in very serious condition. He was a true friend of mine and, much more importantly, America. This is a tremendous blow to the wonderful people of Japan, who loved and admired him so much. We are all praying for Shinzo and his beautiful family!”

Upon confirmation of Abe’s death, he followed with,

“Really BAD NEWS FOR THE WORLD! Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is dead. He was assassinated. His killer was captured and will hopefully be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Few people know what a great man and leader Shinzo Abe was, but history will teach them and be kind. He was a unifier like no other, but above all, he was a man who loved and cherished his magnificent country, Japan. Shinzo Abe will be greatly missed. There will never be another like him! President Donald J. Trump”
