On Sunday, Joe Biden addressed the shooting that took place at Club Q on Saturday.
Biden stated that “no motive” was known yet.
He also used it to push gun control, as we expected.
Slow to Draw Conclusions
Let’s go back to The Pulse shooting in 2016.
Even though Donald Trump was only a candidate at the time, Democrats tried to blame the shooting on him.
It was Trump’s rhetoric that made the man go in there and shoot the place up.
With Biden in office, jumping to conclusions about a hate crime is no longer in the cards, so Biden stated, “While no motive in this attack is yet clear, we know that the LGBTQI+ community has been subjected to horrific hate violence in recent years.
“Gun violence continues to have a devastating and particular impact on LGBTQI+ communities across our nation and threats of violence are increasing.
“We saw it six years ago in Orlando, when our nation suffered the deadliest attack affecting the LGBTQI+ community in American history.
“We must address the public health epidemic of gun violence in all of its forms.
“Earlier this year, I signed the most significant gun safety law in nearly three decades, in addition to taking other historic actions. But we must do more.
“We need to enact an assault weapons ban to get weapons of war off America’s streets.”
Conservatives noticed the slow reaction to tag this as a hate crime as well as the push to take a shot at the Second Amendment.
I have little doubt this will be tagged as a hate crime, and I fully expect the blame to be put on the right when that happens.
Joe just needed a little more time to figure out the right angle.
