King Abdullah’s “discomfort” with Trump’s plan “was obvious as he indicated alternate proposals for Gaza would be forthcoming.” The Arabs can propose anything they want but the president’s mind is already made up.
Jordan King stunned
King Abdullah II of Jordan was visibly stunned by U.S. President Donald Trump’s vision for the Gaza strip. He couldn’t get his objections in edgewise.
The few he managed to utter fell on deaf ears. That’s okay, he’ll cope, Trump later told reporters. “It’ll be great.”
Jordan needs to step up and take their fair share of Palestinians out of Gaza, Trump insisted as the two world leaders met in the White House. On Tuesday, February 11, the president announced “we’re going to have it, we’re going to keep it, and we’re going to make sure that there’s going to be peace.”
He’s not taking “no” for an answer. “There’s not going to be any problem, and nobody’s going to question it, and we’re going to run it very properly.”
King Abdulla was squirming in his seat as Trump spelled out the plan for Gaza. He’d love to question it but doesn’t have the diplomatic leverage to do any good. Arabs simply must get used to the idea that Americans are moving in and taking over there.
Trump would “like to see Gaza developed into lucrative property for resorts and office buildings.” Jordan has other plans for the sovereign territory. They want to give it to the Palestinians. Sorry, bad idea, Trump counters. Not going to happen.

We’re going to take it
After the meeting, frantic reporters quizzed how we were going to purchase the land. Trump got a good laugh out of that one.
We’re not going to “buy” it, he chuckled, “there’s nothing to buy.” The Israelis reduced it to rubble. “It’s a war-torn area. We’re going to take it, we’re going to hold it.” The King of Jordan turned purple when he heard that part.
It’s okay, Trump assures. It will be well run. “We’re going to cherish it, we’re going to get it going eventually, where a lot of jobs are going to be created for the people in the Middle East.”

Maybe a few Palestinians can live there after we rebuild but it’s going to be open to everyone. “It’s going to be for the people in the Middle East, but I think it could be a diamond.”
It’s the best way to keep an entire nation full of antisemitic terrorists off Israel’s doorstep. While lounging in the Oval Office, the King of Jordan “suggested the Arab world was opposed.” Trump failed to hear that.
“Instead, Trump repeated his view that Palestinians should be moved out of the devastated strip to ‘parcels‘ in third countries, including Jordan, despite the objections of those countries’ leaders.” It’s not rocket surgery, he added. “It’s not a complex thing to do. And with the United States being in control of that piece of land, a fairly large piece of land, you’re going to have stability in the Middle East for the first time.“
