The last thing he can afford is a scandal on how he is using donor cash.
But, politicians being what they are, guess what fun little fact just came to light?

I am not sure if you guys know this or not, but Manchin is very rich.
His net worth is estimated at about $12 million.
I bring this up because there is no need for Manchin to be doing what he is doing.
That would be spending tens of thousands of dollars of donor money on his lifestyle.
Over the last 12 years, the man has spent more than $1.1 million on dining alone.
His last FEC report shows $50,000 in expenses for 4 and 5-star restaurants and hotels.
For instance, he rang up more than $7,000 at the Houston Four Seasons.
He spent more than $4,000 at Joe’s Seafood.
I would love to hear the explanation for the $1,000 tab at the Capitol Yacht Club, which happens to be where Manchin docks his boat when he is in town.
What did his office have to say about the exorbitant spending?
“Sen. Manchin’s bipartisan and common sense message continues to inspire Americans that there is a productive way forward for West Virginia and our entire country.
“He has always been and will continue to be in complete compliance with all Senate ethics and financial disclosure rules.”
If the rules allow this, then the rules need to be changed.
Good to know this is how politicians use donor money that people expect to be used running the campaign.
I guess this is why Pelosi wanted taxpayer funds to match political donations. They need to make sure they can all continue to live high on the hog with our money.
