Tucker Carlson Breaks Another Major Record!

Tucker Carlson just broke another amazing record: newly released data has revealed that his show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” is the most-watched news show on cable.

AdWeek reported that Carlson totaled over 3.13 million viewers, with about 485,000 of those viewers in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 demographic.

In comparison, CNN’s Anderson Cooper only gathered 686,000 total viewers with 131,000 being a part of the desired demographic. Additionally, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes totaled 1.43 million viewers and 152,000 within the demographic. Both obviously trail behind Carlson.

Deadline reported not only the figures for the cable news shows but also mentioned that Carlson and Fox News dominate the viewership, as their audiences continue to grow.

It’s also important to mention that Carlson’s show is the most-watched among 25-54 year-old Democrats, as he brought in about 101,000 viewers in this demographic.

There was a tie for second place between MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” and Fox’s “The Five”, each gathering 88,000 viewers in the 25-54 Democrat demographic. Following the second place spot are Sean Hannity, who took in 81,000 young Democrat viewers, and Greg Gutfeld, who pulled 73,000.

Ironically, Fox News has three of the top five shows watched by Democrats, while MSNBC sits behind with only two.

Unfortunately, when it comes to Independents, CNN and MSNBC took a big loss as their top five most-watched programs are all on Fox. In terms of popularity, they rank Tucker Carlson, The Five, Hannity, Special Report with Bret Baier, and The Ingraham Angle.

The Deadline also added:

Fox news drew 2.27 million total viewers in primetime, up 4% from May 2021. MSNBC averaged 1.02 million, down 32%, while CNN averaged 660,000, down 28%. In the 25-54 demographic, Fox News topped with an average of 351,000 viewers, compared to 150,000 for CNN and 105,000 for MSNBC.

In total day, Fox News averaged 1.46 million, up 23%. MSNBC posted 634,000, down 24%, and CNN averaged 500,000, down 19%. Fox News was the top-rated cable network overall in total day viewers. In the 25-54 demo, Fox News topped with an average of 229,000, followed by 106,000 for CNN and 70,000 for MSNBC.

The Five was the top show in total viewers among cable news networks, averaging 3.28 million viewers, followed by Tucker Carlson Tonight with 3.2 million, Hannity with 2.7 million, Jesse Watters Primetime with 2.6 million, and Special Report with Bret Baier with 2.48 million. Stating that, Fox News won all cable news competition in May.

It comes as no surprise to us that Fox swept up the top five watched programs, especially Carlson.
