Most people thought that the indictments would hurt Trump’s campaign.
In fact, the complete opposite has happened… the indictments have and continue to help Trump.
Can’t Stop Him
Who is going to vote for a guy that could be in prison when the general election comes around, right?
Well, the answer goes well beyond Trump’s base at this point.
Trump is in the mid-40s in most polls right now, so he has about 30 percent above what many of us expect his base makes up.
And the Trump camp has been very slick about making moves to help Trump secure this nomination.
For instance, it has made an ally of Vivek Ramaswamy, who is gaining ground on DeSantis.
Ramaswamy only needs to stay in this race through Super Tuesday to guarantee Trump a win.
And considering he is now breathing down DeSantis’ neck, with nobody else a real threat, this is 2016 all over again when Trump went to battle against Rubio and Cruz.
In my opinion, during the upcoming debate, DeSantis has to take out Ramaswamy and expose his non-conservative policies.
Trump is inconsequential to him at this point because Ramaswamy is the roadblock to turning this into a heads-up battle with Trump.
If DeSantis can expose the fact that Ramaswamy wants to pardon Hunter Biden and legalize hard drugs, as well as some of his other hidden agenda issues, he could knock him right out of the race next week.
That could also serve the purpose of hurting Trump since Trump has embraced Ramaswamy as an ally.
If he does not do this, the primary is a mere formality and Trump wins this nomination, even with the indictments hanging over his head, in a romp.
