This Mother Is Getting PAYBACK For Them Messing With Her Son

Melissa Riley is one Mama Bear who isn’t going to stand by and let those who messed with her son off lightly.

Albemarle School District started to promote an “anti-racism” program last Spring. The new program caused Riley’s thirteen-year-old son to become aware of an unpleasant reality, that America perceives him differently from his white peers because of the color of his skin. At least this is what his school was teaching him.

Melissa Riley told Fox News, in an interview on Watters World, that she noticed a significant change in her son’s perspective of things after the School District implemented the supposedly anti-racist curriculum.

“We didn’t have issues before. He is in eighth grade,” Riley said, “He sees himself just as a Black man. He’s seeing things that don’t go his way as racism. And he is finding safety in numbers now.”

Riley claimed in the interview that her son is now attempting to invoke racism in order to get out of his responsibilities. When she requested him to do his household tasks, he claimed she was a racist.

She described the incident in the interview:

“I asked him to clean the house, ‘racism,’” she told Watters.

Watters responded, ‘You are kidding, right? Or are you serious?”

“No. I’m serious,” Riley insisted. “They have totally changed his perspective. They have put him in a box.”

According to the mother, the school administration told her Son that he should act as a “Black spokesman for the Black community.”

Riley identifies herself as “white and Native American,” made it clear that she didn’t think the suggestion was acceptable. She says about her son, “He looks Hawaiian. He’s beautiful.”

“When I told them I didn’t think that would be appropriate,” she added, “they told me that if he was uncomfortable with the conversations, he and other children of color could go to a safe place during these conversations.”

Riley has decided to join a lawsuit brought by the conservative legal group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). The suit claims that the state constitution’s equal protection and free speech articles are violated by the school district’s anti-racist program. Filed in December the lawsuit was recently dismissed by a court that concluded that the district’s curricula contained “nothing fundamentally evil or unlawful.”

“They simply think it’s fine, They think it’s okay. But it’s not okay. It’s never okay. It’s never right for a school to teach kids that they are determined by their race. It’s never okay for a school to tell kids that bigotry should be fought with bigotry, and racism should be fought by doubling down on racism. Those things are not okay,’ Attorney Ryan Banger said. ‘They’re a violation of students’ civil rights.”

Another lawsuit backed by ADF was filed by a former assistant principal. The principal alleges that the school board harassed her after she expressed concerns about the school’s anti-racist teachings.
