The Democrats’ sick, twisted game of COVID lies is slowly unraveling, as they keep getting caught in their hypocrisy. Representative Ted Lieu is the latest Democrat leader to be caught using the pandemic to benefit himself.
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) claimed that he was unable to make it to Washington, D.C. to do the job he was elected to do because of the “ongoing public health emergency,” a.k.a. the COVID pandemic. On January 10th, 2022, he sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to inform her of this, and to designate Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) as his proxy.
Here is that letter, obtained by Red State:
Despite being so afraid of the “ongoing public health emergency,” Lieu was apparently able to attend a football game maskless with his wife and brother in October, take a cruise to Bermuda with his entire family — including his elderly parents — in November, and vacation in Hawaii in December.
In October, Lieu was spotted at Los Angeles’ Sofi Stadium with his wife, Betty, and his brother, John, sitting rather close to the field, maskless and enjoying the Browns vs. Chargers game. He didn’t seem too worried about the pandemic then.
He also didn’t seem to concerned when his family, along with his brother and parents, took a Thanksgiving cruise to Bermuda aboard the Crystal Symphony. According to Red State, “Crystal Cruises’ ‘Luxury Bermuda Escapes’ started sailing in late September from New York City, with prices on the inaugural cruise starting at $1,999. Cruises on holiday weeks always command a premium so fares on their cruise were undoubtedly quite a bit more, and it’s unlikely that the Lieu family booked the cheap cabins.”
Lieu obviously wasn’t worried about the pandemic when his family was enjoying their Christmas vacation in Hawaii, as he tweeted a picture of himself maskless on December 29, 2021, saying he was there “last week.”

Just a week before that picture was taken, the White House was busy warning Americans about Omicron and the winter of death and sickness.
But apparently, Ted Lieu didn’t care about the pandemic then. He was too busy having fun on his various vacations. The question is, why is he too busy/scared to do his job now?
