Investigators shared that the driver was attempting to turn from Luella Avenue onto Montague before failing and hitting a 15-year-old pedestrian who had been waiting to be picked up by a bus for another nearby school.
After that point, the bus crashed into the front of Neighbor Store, which had been closed during the time of the incident.
Another teenager was also waiting on the sidewalk before being injured by a tree branch that was knocked loose from the bus.
Thankfully both teens were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Additionally, eight elementary school students and bus driver were transported to a nearby hospital.
While the eight children were treated for minor injuries, the status of the driver remains unknown.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and whether any charges will be necessary at this time.
