Members of the left-wing media and other prominent leftists rushed to threaten riots, violence, and destruction if President Trump attempts to nominate someone to fill the Supreme Court seat vacated by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Justice Ginsburg passed away Friday evening due to complications of metastatic pancreatic cancer, and immediately the left went insane and began to threaten violence. President Trump had just released an extended list of possible Supreme Court picks a few days prior to her passing. The morning after, both the president and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell signaled that they would be moving to fill the vacancy on the court.

Laura Bassett, a political writer formerly of the Huffington Post, made a similar remark, but stopped short of making a threat, writing: “If McConnell jams someone through, which he will, there will be riots. … *more, bigger riots.” This tweet has since been deleted.
Dr. Jessie Christiansen, an Australian astrophysicist, threatened on Twitter: “IF THEY RAM THROUGH AN APPOINTMENT IN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS I WILL RIOT. This is an actual nightmare.”
