It would appear that Donald Trump has finally done enough to scare away the big money.
Several of the GOP megadonors are pulling the plug.
Not on the big checks, just on Donald Trump.

As most of you know, I think it is time to turn the page, not just in the GOP but also in the Democrat Party.
We need to get out of this habit of voting for familiar names and bring some new blood.
Trump is still popular but he comes with significant baggage.
The legal issues are only one aspect of that, as Trump still has problems with Republican and Independent voters that will never pull the handle for him.
He keeps talking about the primary, but that is not the goal here.
We know he can win the primary, but can he win the general election?
To that point, some of the big-money donors in the GOP are going to push DeSantis to win and put their money behind him.
Trump may be crushing everyone now, but if the money train dries up, don’t be surprised to see that vote start to swing.
One of those donors, Ken Griffin, who spent about $60 million during this cycle, is moving away from Trump.
He stated, “He [Trump] did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas.
“And for a litany of reasons, I think it’s time to move on to the next generation.”
I agree.
