Joe Biden is not happy to learn that U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty refuses to put a hold on his own ruling. The one that says Joe’s handlers aren’t allowed to meddle in social media. Unfettered free speech is something which Democrats simply can’t cope with. Donald Trump could end up back in the White House that way.
Judge shows Joe no mercy
U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, based in Monroe, Louisiana, refused to back down and “put a temporary hold on his own order limiting Biden administration officials’ contacts with social media companies.”
Lawyers for the Biden regime pleaded with the court to allow them the ability to censor speech until they can get the 2024 presidential selection in the bag again, or until their appeal process ends, whichever comes first.
Plaintiffs in the case, the Attorneys General for Louisiana and Missouri, along with the owner of a conservative website and “four individual critics of government COVID-19 policies,” started popping Champaign corks as soon as the judge posted his ruling.

Their lawsuit contends that Biden and his handlers “censored free speech by using threats of regulatory action or protection while pressuring companies to remove what it deemed misinformation.”
The judge understands full well that “misinformation” can be defined as “anything which upsets Democrats.” Everything from COVID-19 vaccines to Hunter Biden to allegations of fraud in prior elections.
Whether it’s true or not has no effect on whether a post is censored. True information which goes against the Democrat narrative in any way is the most frequent target.
Protected free speech
The injunction put in place by Judge Doughty blocked all the rampant government overreach exposed by the Twitter Files. Anyone on the government payroll, it seems, could flag any post which offended them and every one of the social media platforms would bend over backwards to have it removed.
Even when farmed out to third parties, that’s illegal and unconstitutional. “His injunction blocked the Department of Health and Human Services, the FBI and multiple other government agencies and administration officials from meeting with or contacting social media companies.”
He had to particularize it to make it legal but the judge described a wide range of offensive behavior he meant to put a stop to. Specifically, government employees can’t contact social media companies for the purpose of “encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech.”

The way Doughty put it in his order, the Biden regime “seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth.’”
He read through all the gloom and doom arguments team Biden handed in to ask the ruling placed on hold and Judge Doughty clearly wasn’t impressed by their panic. Free speech could prevent the government from “engaging in a vast range of lawful and responsible conduct,” they argued. Tough, Doughty replied. “Defendants do not identify any specific conduct that they claim is lawful but prevented by the injunction.” Go away.
He can still be overturned by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans but there’s no guarantee of that. Also it’s going to take time to appeal and the regime can’t do a thing until they get this ruling set aside.
