That’s an extra added benefit which comes along with keeping his son out of prison. Even Democrats are disgusted. His statement assures everyone that electing Donald Trump was the right choice. Joe was lying all along when he kept insisting on the campaign trail that he wouldn’t pardon Hunter.
A sinister legacy
Joe Biden was really hoping that a Gaza ceasefire would be his lasting “legacy.” That flopped. Not even in office yet, Trump produced an instant truce with Hezbollah. Also, Iran’s Ayatollah has been mysteriously “missing in action.” The only thing history will remember Joe Biden for is influence peddling.
That, and the way he let his son off the hook for serious felonies on his way out the door. That move also covered his own rear end as a bonus. His dementia suddenly took a back seat to the family business ventures, leaving the media scrambling to unscrew the inscrutable.
The legacy pardon Joe granted his son was exceptionally wide reaching. Not only does it absolve him of serious gun charges and clear the slate on tax evasion, it clears him of all the crimes he hasn’t been charged with yet.
The “full and unconditional pardon” covers “any potential federal crimes Hunter Biden may have committed from January 2014 through December 2024.” It’s no surprise that it happens to span “Hunter Biden’s tenure as a board member of Burisma.” It covers China and Russia deals, too.
His big debate with Donald Trump proved to America that Joe was totally unqualified to run the country then. Up until the moment Democrat donors pushed him aside in favor of Kamala Harris, Joe swore up and down “he would not offer a pardon or clemency for Hunter.” Clearly, he lied.
If he lied about that, he’s probably lying about a whole lot more. It’s going to be interesting to see if he drops another pardon on his brother James. He’s also been implicated in the family influence peddling allegations. That would only tarnish his legacy even further but he has nothing left to lose now.
Flipping the script
In a defiant show of what psychologists like to call “projection,” which is “a defense mechanism where someone unconsciously or consciously attributes their own thoughts, feelings, or traits to another person or group,” Joe blames it all on the Deep State.
Hunter was “selectively and unfairly prosecuted,” Joe insists. The same way Trump wasn’t with “Crossfire Hurricane.” Nobody goes to jail for writing hookers off on their taxes, Joe declares, unless their last name is Biden. His presidential legacy is going to be a black and sinister one.
“No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son.”
Besides that, he only wrote hookers off on his taxes because he was on crack at the time. Which is why he also wrote off travel expenses for his crack dealer. Joe’s legacy never had a chance, even with a Gaza deal and without a blanket pardon.
Joe also conspired to cover up who’s cocaine was casually left behind in a White House locker. Joe can’t be tried for it, or anything else, because he’s already been declared unfit to stand trial.
He wants to make absolutely certain that Hunter’s wheeling and dealing with foreign governments doesn’t blow back on the rest of the family. He would rather have a legacy for pardoning his son than one of first president in prison for bribery and corruption.
