President Joe Biden’s open border policies are a cause for concern in the United States, as dangerous diseases such as tuberculosis (TB) are being transported across the border and into almost every U.S. state by illegal immigrants.
According to recent reports, nearly 2,500 children with latent TB infections have been released into 44 states within the nation; this is just one more illustration of how President Biden’s policies are jeopardizing Americans – particularly our own children – and undermining his qualifications as president.
TB is an infectious disease that primarily affects the lungs and can be highly fatal if not treated promptly and effectively.
The Washington Times reported that 126,000 individuals were released – indicating an infection rate of 1 in 50 migrant children – with COVID-19 also becoming prevalent amongst them.
To make matters worse, due to the Biden administration’s policy of releasing young people after only a short period of time spent in custody, there is no way for medical care to be provided since TB treatment requires a period between three to nine months long.
Furthermore, liberal non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working with illegal immigrants often rush through procedures without providing medical attention; this leaves many young immigrants suffering from illnesses unattended or even undocumented in terms of their medical history or condition when they enter the US.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is required by current immigration laws to transfer custody over unaccompanied minors within a few weeks’ time from Border Patrol agents to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
This means that there isn’t enough time allocated during which health checks can be conducted or medical backgrounds examined before these kids end up attending our schools right next to all our other students—putting everyone at risk for developing serious diseases like TB or STDs.
Additionally, HHS has no means by which it can safely keep youngsters infected with HIV nor isolate young people linked with criminal records or violent pasts. It also has no idea where most illegal immigrant youths end up once they arrive in America because follow-up checkups rarely take place afterwards either due to frequent moves from state-to-state or lack thereof altogether.
All these factors combined demonstrate why President Biden’s open border policies constitute such a threat and why he is so unqualified for office when it comes down to protecting Americans’ safety and wellbeing overall.
