Unknown to the public, Biden’s IRS has been purchasing a large amount of ammunition, although we are not sure why…
Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz discussed the topic on Breitbart News wherein he detailed a “bizarre” acquisition of over $700,000 worth of ammo by the IRS between March and June 2022 from Vista Outdoor Sales.
Gaetz mentioned that he and other Republican colleagues are currently trying to figure out the reasoning behind the purchases, noting:
“There is concern that this is part of a broader effort to have any entity in the federal government buy up ammo to reduce the amount of ammunition that is in supply, while at the same time, making it harder to produce ammo.”
So should we be concerned about the IRS buying so much ammo or not?
Apparently, Federal agencies have been weaponized for many years, and yes, even the IRS. The agencies have what are known as “enforcement” divisions, which of course leaves many if not all Americans unnerved. And the IRS Criminal Investigative Division has kept a large stockpile of ammo for quite some time so this is nothing new.

According to documents from usaspending.gov, the IRS’s ammunition purchases ranged from $3,201 worth of ammo at one time to $92,000+ worth of ammo at one time. The purchases were spread out over several months, according to the documents, which are publicly available.
According to a report from OpenTheBooks published in 2020, the IRS had stockpiled 4,600 guns and five million rounds of ammunition as of January 2019.
According to the Government Accountability Office the ammunition breakdown at the time included:
- 3,151,500 Pistol and revolver rounds
- 1,472,050 Rifle rounds
- 367,750 Shotgun rounds
- 56,000 Fully automatic firearm rounds
Well now the IRS has a full contract with Vista Outdoor Sales LLC to purchase even more ammo as needed. But considering the fact that all 20 Federal agencies are well-armed, the IRS of course is going to be included.
It makes perfect sense for Rep Gaetz to be concerned, not only about the large purchase of ammo…but having heavily armed Federal agencies.
The Federal agencies that are focused on normal people as “domestic terrorists” is bound to scare anyone and leave them on the edge of their seat.
