Shop NowThe news of Tucker Carlson’s abrupt departure from Fox Corporation has left many viewers stunned.
While it was initially unclear who made the final decision to pull the plug on his show, new information reveals that Lachlan Murdoch and Suzanne Scott were responsible for ending his contract with the network.
Trouble had been brewing for some time at Fox News prior to Tucker’s firing.
He had drawn criticism from both sides of the aisle for his role in promoting a revisionist account of the Capitol riots and was exposed as part of a defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems as someone who was known to denigrate colleagues, sources, and other people he didn’t agree with.
This behavior did not sit well with Rupert Murdoch or other executives at Fox Corporation which ultimately led to Tucker no longer being welcomed on air.
In an interview with British comedian Russell Brand during Brand’s podcast “Stay Free,” Tucker gave an update about why he was taken off-air in late April.
When asked what happened he said that while he wasn’t sure exactly why it happened, he had a good idea about it and stated that while he was shocked when it occurred, he wasn’t mad about it either.
Despite this setback though, Tucker noted that his extended vacation in Maine has given him ample opportunities to go fishing and enjoy late breakfasts – something he fears could lead him towards becoming too happy!
The pair also discussed various topics related to US politics such as Donald Trump whom Tucker said he loves because of his stance against supporting endless wars in Ukraine, something which everyone else in Washington is wrong about according to him.
On the topic of immigration policies under President Joe Biden’s administration, Tucker believes they are designed specifically to wreck America and fuel racial division – something which is obviously unacceptable according to him since these conflicts can never truly be solved despite our best efforts.
