DHS Secretary Mayorkas actually admitted there is a problem at the border.
He even stated that the current levels of migrants are pressuring the system to the point of breaking.
Two Years…
For the last two years, everyone in this administration has tried to put on a happy face about the situation at the border.
That just changed.
Mayorkas stated, “There’s no question that the number of encounters that we are experiencing at the border is straining our system.”
He then stated that our immigration system is “fundamentally broken.”
Well, I would say it was working just fine before he got his hands on it.
He continued, “No one disagrees with that.
“We just can’t seem to agree upon the solution.
“And a solution is long, long overdue.
“Within the broken immigration system that we are operating we are managing the number of encounters, and we are prepared to address the end of Title 42.
“We’ve been preparing for this since well beyond last year.”
Well, I can tell you this… the solution is not to allow almost three million illegal immigrants into the country and allow them to stay.
Democrats just had the House, Senate, and White House for the last two years and failed to address the issue legislatively, which tells me they really do not want to fix the problem.
