Justice Department Special Counsel John Durham will not be returning to his post as U.S. attorney for Connecticut once his probe into the highly illegal persecution of the Trump family and administration by way of the “Russia-gate” investigation is complete. In February 2021 Durham announced his resignation from the post after the takeover of our government by the Biden-Harris regime. It was fairly evident at that time, that he would not be asked to return. This was confirmed this week when Biden announced his nominee to replace him last the US Attorney. The regime has chosen Vanessa Avery, formerly chief of the Division of Enforcement and Public Protection at the Connecticut attorney general’s office since 2021 to step into the role.

Without detracting from Avery’s achievements, Biden’s campaign vow that his primary concern with a SCOTUS nominee would be their skin color and gender draws immediate concern that his motivations for placing Avery are the same given that she would become the first black woman to serve in her new post… Further, it stands as evident proof that Durham finds himself a target of the Democrat-Socialists. With Avery’s appointment, the door has been more or less slammed shut behind him.

“These individuals were chosen for their devotion to enforcing the law, their professionalism, their experience and credentials in this field, their dedication to pursuing equal justice for all, and their commitment to the independence of the Department of Justice,” a White House press release said.

Durham A Target As Investigation Closes In

Without a doubt, anything that can be seen as hurting John Durham at this point would be seen as a big win for the Biden-Harris regime and the deeply imperiled establishment Democrats who conspired to slander and malign President Trump for over five years. With reports increasing throughout January that Durham is closing in on connections to the Clinton campaign.

Patriot United News wrote,

“Durham’s team requested that a judge ‘inquire into a potential conflict of interest’ connected to the lawyers for British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s main anti-Trump dossier source, Igor Danchenko, pointing out that a separate lawyer at their firm ‘is currently representing the 2016 ‘Hillary for America’ presidential campaign, as well as multiple former employees of that campaign, in matters before the special counsel,’” Newsmax reported.

Durham’s team said that there are 5 topics that may become relevant to Danchenko’s defense.

1. “The Clinton campaign’s knowledge or lack of knowledge concerning the veracity of information” in the Steele dossier;

2. “The Clinton campaign’s awareness or lack of awareness” of Danchenko’s “collection methods” for the dossier;

3. “Meetings or communications” between the Clinton campaign and Steele about Danchenko;

4. “The defendant’s knowledge or lack of knowledge regarding the Clinton campaign’s role in” the dossier;

Durham noted that: “On each of these issues, the interests of the Clinton Campaign and the defendant might diverge. For example, the Clinton Campaign and the defendant each might have an incentive to shift blame and/or responsibility to the other party for any allegedly false information that was contained within the Company Reports and/or provided to the FBI.”

A January 27th filing by Durham has also revealed that he is being stonewalled by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is accused of withholding “key evidence” from the Special Counsel. Jeff Carlson and Hans Mahncke reported for The Epoch Times,

“A new court filing by special counsel John Durham reveals that Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz concealed crucial information from Durham in connection with the ongoing prosecution of Michael Sussmann, a former attorney to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The filing also reveals that Horowitz failed to disclose that his office is in possession of two cellphones used by former FBI general counsel James Baker. The phones may contain information that’s important to the Sussmann case, as well as to a separate criminal leak investigation of Baker that Durham personally conducted between 2017 and 2019.”

Point blank: Biden can’t stop the Durham investigation. But he can send a pretty damned clear message that Durham’s only future in the DoJ after this is retirement, and that seems to be exactly what he’s doing.
