Donald Trump reportedly has a short list that he is looking at for vice president.
As we suspected, he is leaning toward picking a woman.
The name that is apparently at the top of the list is not one most of us would have guessed six months ago, however.

Trump loves flattery and imitation is the greatest form of that.
Nobody is trying to be Trump harder than Kari Lake right now.
Keep in mind, before Lake had aspirations for office, she shared a Trump “not my president” meme.
She has since stated that she was only a reporter sharing a meme, so you can take that and judge for yourself.
Regardless, now she has modeled herself after Trump, which is not exactly a good thing when selecting a running mate.
Even so, Lake is reportedly on a short list of possible candidates to be Trump’s VP.
I don’t actually have anything against Lake, I just don’t think she brings very much to the table.
After all, she could not even win Arizona, so what vote is she going to deliver for Trump?
We are getting a bit ahead of ourselves, however, as Trump has no easy road to the nomination.
For her part, Lake says being VP is not even an option right now.
She stated, “I am 100% dedicated to serving as Arizona governor.”
That is a curious thing to say, you know, because she lost the election and is NOT the governor or Arizona.
She added, “I will also work to make sure President Trump gets back in the White House ASAP. Anything outside of those two goals is nothing but a distraction.
“Our best days are ahead of us, and it all starts with electing America First candidates all across this country.”
