Shop NowIt is not exactly a secret that Anderson Cooper is not a Donald Trump fan.
He has been a major part of the problem in looking the other way with Biden while holding Trump’s feet to the flame.
When CNN held a town hall for Trump, Anderson tried to save CNN’s liberal base, but his whiney explanation backfired.
Disturbed
CNN’s core viewers, what are left of them, anyway, were blowing up social media over the fact that Trump was on their network.
So, Cooper decided to do some damage control.
While on-air, he made a statement that I would have fired him for if I owned the network.
He stated, “The man you were so disturbed to see and hear from last night, that man is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for president.
“And according to polling, no other Republican is even close.
“That man you were so upset to hear from last night, he may be president of the United States in less than two years.
“And that audience that upset you?
“That’s a sampling of about half the country.
“They are your family members, your neighbors, and they are voting.
“And many said they are voting for him.”
Anderson Cooper has on-air meltdown on the verge of tears telling viewers not to watch CNN after Trump goes BEAST MODE during townhall:
“You have every right to be outraged today and angry and never watch this network again.”

It is a pretty broad brushstroke to say that half this country falls in line with everything that Trump says because they don’t.
That is not a shot at Trump, by any means, but his base is probably about 35 percent or so of the party.
There is a big chunk that does not support him at all, and there are others that love his policies, just not the way he goes about his business.
Anderson Cooper is trying to start fights at kitchen tables, and he may succeed, but his plea did not go over very well…

Let me say one last thing… Anderson Cooper is a news anchor, so it is not his role to portray a candidate and half the country in such a negative light.
He was way out of line here in taking those shots at Trump and Republicans.
For CNN, the town hall paid off, as they had big numbers, more than triple their normal viewing audience.
That will be short-lived, however, as that big bump was more than likely Trump supporters who will never watch the network again.
And it would appear some on the liberal horde feel the same way.
It will be very interesting to see the next ratings reports to see just how much of a hit post-Trump that CNN will take.
