Shop NowI have never seen members of Congress so willingly disrespect our police the way the members of the Squad do.
This time, the slap was so severe, only two members were bold enough to do it.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) voted against a resolution to honor officers that have fallen in the line of duty.
Disgusting
The shame of it is there were police officers that protected them on January 6, and, according to Democrats, there were police officers that were murdered that day, and they just spit on them.
The resolution, HR 363, is a resolution “memorializing law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.”
Their excuse was beyond lame, stating, “Let us be clear: the health and safety of every one of our community members — including our first responders — is a top priority for us.”
Their statements continued, “But this resolution is not a referendum on support for the safety of first responders.
“It is a document intended to advance Republicans’ false narrative around supporting law enforcement and gaslight the public about where they stand.”
Not only did they do that, but were also involved in an event that “honored” George Floyd earlier in the week.
I honestly don’t know how either of these two can ever look a police officer in the face ever again.
