It was only about a week ago that Hurricane Ian ripped through Florida, destroying homes and disrupting the power grid.
DeSantis announced on Sunday that almost 98 percent of power outages have been restored.
Amazing
We can only compare this to recent hurricane strikes around the country.
If you look at Puerto Rico, the infrastructure is still out from a storm that hit two years ago.
DeSantis probably has fewer homes without power little more than a week after the storm hit Florida as Puerto Rico does right now.
Before the storm hit, DeSantis declared a state of emergency to get all the recovery pieces in place.
He had more than 42,000 linemen and 1.6 million gallons of fuel ready to go once the storm passed.
Of course, the left was focused more on DeSantis’ attire when he first showed up to survey the destruction…

Jimmy Kimmel also took a shot, stating, “You’re not allowed to pass a ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill then show up in public dressed like Nancy Sinatra.”
DeSantis is firing back, however…

DeSantis’press secretary, Bryan Griffin, added, “Gov. DeSantis was able to execute a historically efficient response to Hurricane Ian because of his directives for a massive preemptive staging effort, enhanced state agency cooperation, and his insistence in being on the ground in the most affected areas after the storm.”
What this man has done is amazing… there is no other word that comes close to describing it.
