Tragedy Strikes
Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., a former member of the football team, has been identified as the alleged shooter.
The dead students were identified as UVA linebacker D’Sean Perry and UVA wide receivers Lavel Davis Jr. and Devin Chandler.
No motive has been revealed, but suspicions are already flying since all the victims were football players and Jones is a former football player.
The ink was not even dry on the story when the White House started to push gun control legislation.
While House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated, “Too many families across America are bearing the awful burden of gun violence.
“Earlier this year, President Biden signed the most significant gun safety law in nearly three decades, in addition to taking other historic actions.
“But we must do more. We need to enact an assault weapons ban to get weapons of war off America’s streets.
“House Democrats acted, and the Senate should follow.”
Never waste a crisis, right?
