TV-Movie Star DEAD… Nobody Knew

A fan favorite has passed away.

Kirstie Alley, who became a fan favorite during her time on “Cheers,” died this week.

She had been having a short battle with colon cancer.

She was 71 years old.

Quiet Death

Alley reportedly kept her battle quiet so she could enjoy her final days with her children.

Her children announced her death, stating, “As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.

“We are grateful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for their care.

“Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.”

The statement concluded, “We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time. With love always, True and Lillie Parker.”

In addition to “Cheers,” she has numerous big-screen hits, with my favorite being “Summer School.”

She also starred in “Look Who’s Talking” with John Travolta, where the two formed a very special friendship.

Travolta stated, “Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirstie, and I know we will see each other again.”

The two never dated, but Alley reportedly stated that she considered Travolta the love of her life.
