ICYMI – The Trump indictment has hit yet another snag.

The FEC Commissioner has come forward to say Bragg has no case in terms of a possible campaign finance violation.

What will hurt Trump, however, is that the commissioner also happens to be a Trump appointee.

Nothing to See Here

The only thing that I can see hurting the statements made by the commissioner on this matter are that FEC Commissioner James “Trey” Trainor is a Trump appointee.

Democrats and the media will use that to try to discredit his statements.

Trainor is on the record saying there simply is no campaign finance violation that he can see.

He stated, “It’s not a reporting violation of any kind.”

Trainor continued, “It has to be something that anybody on the street can look at and say the only reason you did that was to influence the campaign.

“There’s a lot of reasons that he could have done it that aren’t related to him being a candidate for president, and so, therefore, it wouldn’t have met the standard as campaign expenditure under federal law.”

He continued, “I think the jury is going to see that and they’re going to have to rely upon the fact that both the law enforcement experts and the civil enforcement experts, as far as campaign finance are concerned, didn’t find any violation of the law here.”

Let’s also not forget that the star witness for the prosecution is Michael Cohen, a man who has been a proven liar already.

There is also the fact that Cohen has openly expressed to the media that he wants to take down Trump.

These are both things that Trump’s legal team will exploit during the trial.
