I have heard of a lot of very bizarre things in my life, but this one really takes the cake.

Lululemon fired two employees, but not for any reason you would ever imagine.

The employees were present when the store was being robbed.

For calling the police, they were terminated.

Why Pay?

The Atlanta, GA, store has been a regular target of thieves.

When they raided the store again, Jennifer Ferguson, who was the assistant manager at the time, told them to stop and not walk out of the store.

As one would expect, the thieves told her to shut up and left.

Ferguson and an associate, Rachel Rogers, followed them outside, but they did not try to stop them.

They went back inside to call the police, but their boss took exception.

Both employees were fired for violating the “zero-tolerance policy” for interfering with thieves during the course of a robbery.

Ferguson stated, “We are not supposed to get in the way.

“You kind of clear path for whatever they’re going to do.

“After it’s over, you scan a QR code. And that’s that.

“We’ve been told not to put it in any notes, because that might scare other people.

“We’re not supposed to call the police, not really supposed to talk about it.”

The store responded, “The two employees at our Peachtree Corners location in Georgia were not terminated for calling the police.

“They were terminated for knowingly violating our zero-tolerance policy related to physically engaging with the perpetrators which put their lives and the safety of our guests and other employees at risk.

“Employees are able and instructed to call 911 when needed, and that was not the cause of termination in this case.”
