Attorney General Merrick Garland has always proclaimed that he has never interfered in anything.
He came forward again this week to try to discredit the whistleblowers.
I Did Nothing
The allegations, if true, will crush this administration.
Among other allegations, there were claims that evidence was being hidden or held back to ensure that Hunter Biden got himself a sweetheart deal.
Garland responded, “As I said at the outset, Mr. Weiss, who was appointed by President Trump as the U.S. attorney in Delaware and assigned this matter during the previous administration, would be permitted to continue his investigation and to make a decision to prosecute any way in which he wanted to and in any district in which he wanted to.
“Mr. Weiss has since sent a letter to the House Judiciary Committee confirming that he had that authority.
“I don’t know how it would be possible for anybody to block him from bringing a prosecution, given that he has this authority.
“He was given complete authority to make all decisions on his own behalf.”
The Justice Department also responded, “As both the Attorney General and U.S. Attorney David Weiss have said, U.S. Attorney Weiss has full authority over this matter, including responsibility for deciding where, when, and whether to file charges as he deems appropriate.
“He needs no further approval to do so.
“Questions about his investigation should be directed to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Delaware.”
We know just about everything coming out of Garland’s mouth is a complete and utter lie.
The only reason it is not blowing up is because Biden is a Democrat and the media is protecting him with as much passion as they tried to persecute Trump during his presidency.
