She has become a female version of Donald Trump, mimicking everything the former president has done since leaving office.
The problem, however, is, like Trump, Lake used to gush over DeSantis, a point that Trey Gowdy was more than happy to point out.

A right-wing site that is getting behind Trump sent out a story with a bogus headline that Lake had retweeted.
The headline read, “The Kiss of Death – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Endorsed by George Soros.”
Soros did not endorse DeSantis, he just predicted that he would be the eventual winner.
Besides, as Trump is quite aware, you cannot control who endorses you, but you can disavow the endorsement.
Before she became a Trump echo chamber, Lake had been called the DeSantis of the west.
She has responded, “Honestly, other than being called ‘Trump in a dress,’ that is the greatest compliment you could pay me.”
