Now we find out Abrams has another big loss, and it is a doozy.
Going Broke
Stacey Abrams raised more than $100 million during her campaign, which is an astonishing amount for a gubernatorial campaign.
It has come to light that Abrams was blowing money on all kinds of stupid things during her campaign, figuring she was going to win and the fundraising money would keep pouring in.
It has been more than a month since her campaign workers have received a check.
A former staffer stated, “People have told me they have no idea how they’re going to pay their rent in January.
“It was more than unfortunate. It was messed up.”
I am sure her donors will be pleased to know that to keep the lights on, Abrams started to sell her databases to brokers.
Manager Lauren Groh-Wargo stated, “We did not just lose, we got blown out.
“It was the most sub-optimal situation to be in. And we will be dealing with that situation for some time.”
One former staffer stated, “I figured, $100 million? They should be able to pay me until December.”
He added, ”She was running a campaign where there’s always been more money in the future that can fix the mistakes of the past.”
Not this time, as the campaign is short about $1 million.
Now, keep in mind, Abrams paid her attorney about $9 million to fight a voter suppression lawsuit in 2018 that amounted to nothing.
That is $9 million that would have gone a long way to pay her staff and to keep the lights on at her campaign offices.
