In an unearthed clip from 2014, quintessential tough guy Chuck Norris explains why he has chosen to align himself with traditional Republican values instead of progressive left Democrats.

When asked about his change of heart politically, Norris said that Democrats had “gone too far off the trail” and away from what he views as regular American concerns.
He argued that Republicans are more focused on doing what is best for America right now.
The actor went on to joke about how even after voting for former President Barack Obama in 2008, he had lost faith in the Democratic Party because Obama failed to fulfill any of his promises during his term.
This ambivalence towards working class citizens has been reflected by recent polls which find that both black and Hispanic voters favor President Trump over past Republican candidates, due largely to his focus on putting money back into their pockets rather than discussing identity politics.
Chuck Norris also made an interesting comment about how John F Kennedy Jr., one of America’s most beloved presidents, would likely identify as a Republican if he were alive today based on this shift in political ideology.
His wife Gena O’Kelley agreed with him before adding her own sentiment about young people being instrumental in keeping America great moving forward.
It seems like they share similar views when it comes to traditional conservative values being more beneficial for average Americans than progressive left policies currently offered by Democrats today.
