Shop NowCampus Reform recently shared a video compilation speaking with young minority college students who refuse to vote for Joe Biden.
Part two of a four-part series, this video discusses reasons why these Trump-supporting young minority voters will not support Joe Biden.
Gerrin Alexander a senior at University of Chicago, said Biden’s comment that “you ain’t black” if you won’t vote for him was the “most blatant, racist statement I’ve heard throughout this whole campaign.”
“Joe Biden has been in government for almost 50 years, and that man was a racist,” said Christopher Gaffrey, a senior at Wayne State University. When Campus Reform reporter Jezzamine Wolk asked Gaffrey for examples of why he believes this, he cited Biden trying to justify the confederate flag.
“If he were to be elected, imagine how many more Black people would be probably incarcerated. Him and Kamala have contributed to Black people’s incarceration,” said Alexander.
Many of the students say it is culturally ingrained that many communities of color still feel they have to vote Democrat. They also blamed the media and a lack of education.
What is Campus Reform?
According to their website, “Campus Reform, a project of the Leadership Institute, is America’s leading site for college news.
As a conservative watchdog to the nation’s higher education system, Campus Reform exposes liberal bias and abuse on the nation’s college campuses. Our team of professional journalists works alongside student activists and student journalists to report on the conduct and misconduct of campus administrators, faculty, and students.”
