A new poll in New Hampshire was just released and it is good news for Donald Trump.
In a GOP primary race, he is currently beating Ron DeSantis by 41 points.
Trump loves the news, but there are more than a few people that say, “so what?”
Big News or Not
New Hampshire gets a lot of attention because it is the first in the nation during primary season.
Everyone wants to get off to a hot start, and this is a way for New Hampshire’s delegates to actually count for something.
But, honestly, if New Hampshire were not first, the candidates would probably not even travel to the state.
The state only holds 22 delegates, so would you rather win New Hampshire or a battleground state like Michigan, which has 55, or Texas, which has 261?
Additionally, DeSantis has not even declared or visited the state yet, so I would not read too much into the poll…

The one thing I would take away from this, however, is that Governor Sununu walks away with some serious egg on his face.
He has been adamant that Trump will not win the primary race, yet his state is overwhelming in favor of Trump, at least for now.
Now Sununu is very popular in the state and his endorsement is definitely going to pack a punch, so we will have to wait and see how this all pans out.
For now, however, on Day 1, it would be Trump pitching a shutout.
