It is not surprising that Politicians act more like criminals than public servants. However, we have entered a new realm of depravity with the ongoing societal acceptance of extreme mental illnesses as things to be celebrated. It should not be surprising when the two come together its a nightmare waiting to happen.
Recently former state Rep. Stacie Marie Laughton, a transgender woman, was arrested for distributing child pornography.
"On Thursday, Stacie-Marie Laughton, a former New Hampshire state representative and the nation’s first transgender-identifying lawmaker, was arrested for allegedly distributing child pornography."

On Tuesday, June 20, Nashua police responded to a local facility for a juvenile matter, officials said in a release. Officers spoke with individuals there who indicated Laughton allegedly distributed sexually explicit images of children, police said.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Division applied for and were granted a warrant for Laughton’s arrest. She was arrested Thursday with distribution of child sexual abuse images. She was also charged with three additional counts of distribution of child sexual abuse images, Nashua police said.

Laughton was the first openly transgender person elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He, the preferred pronoun is she, quickly resigned the seat shortly after the 2012 victory when his past came back to bite him. While campaigning Laughton conveniently kept quiet about a felony conviction from 2008, which came to light after his win.
In 2008 Laughton was convicted of conspiracy to commit credit card fraud. According to his sentencing, he was forbidden from holding public office until 2018.
Proving his unstable mental state Laughton was also convicted of calling in a hoax bomb threat at the Southern NH Medical Center in 2015. He was then admitted to a mental health and addiction treatment facility in lieu of a suspended six-month sentence.

In addition to the recent arrest for distributing “child sex abuse images”, the mentally ill man who wishes to be a woman has also been arrested in September 2022, and again in November 2022, for violating a protective order.
In a strange turn of events Laughton somehow won another election, the November 2022 mid-term election, despite the convictions and other arrests. However, Laughton failed to show up for his own swearing-in. The NH Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley called for Laughton to resign after his no-show.
