Fear

Their Fear of Trump is Burning Hot Right Now

The somewhat unlikely premise that following a Republican Congressional victory in 2022, President Trump could conceivably be named Speaker of the House by the GOP majority has Democrats in Congress TERRIFIED. The concept is known as “The Trump Card” or “Trump in Days, Not Years!” was being proffered by groups like PatriotSOAR at CPAC in Dallas and Congressional Democrat’s fear of this scenario is strong.

Just How Serious Is This Fear From The Democrats?

The paranoia on Capitol Hill has leapt up to such dizzying heights that Congressman Brenan Boyle (D-PA) has introduced a new bill to limit the role of Speaker of The House to only elected members of the House. The so-called “Mandating That Being an Elected Member Be an Essential Requirement for Speakership Act.” Might as well be called the “We’re absolutely terrified of Trump Bill”.

According to JustTheNews, Boyle told the Press on Monday,

“The Speaker of the U.S. House is second in the United States presidential line of succession. That Donald Trump’s name would even be tossed around as a potential speaker in the people’s house, should serve as an alarm bell that our current requirements need to be amended in the name of protecting our nation and our democracy,”

This “Trump Card” theory, while Constitutionally correct is highly improbable. Realize this: such a delicate maneuver would require House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the GOP’s heir apparent to the Speaker’s gavel to step aside willingly. Plus it would need overwhelming support among Republican members of Congress, as any likely seat flips in 2022 could still leave a GOP majority with little margin for dissent.

According to The Hill,”Trump last month was asked about the idea of him running for the House next year to try to win the Speaker’s gavel during a radio show appearance.” A similar, albeit less extreme notion which President Trump seemed willing to entertain at least conversationally.

“That’s so interesting,” he said in response to radio host Wayne Allyn Root, noting that others had suggested he run for Senate. “But you know what, your idea might be better. It’s very interesting.”

Apparently, that little nod from Trump was all it took to set off alarms in the Democrat-controlled House.

The Hill, also reported that”An attendee of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Texas on Friday was passing out index cards upon which was outlined a “Seven-Domino Plan’ that would reinstate former President Donald Trump into power “in days, not years,” and it is as strange as it is far-fetched.” But for clarity, this was not the scenario President Trump was responding to, a distinction that many on the left haven’t bothered to make.

Ultimately though a Trump spokesman seems to have put this question to rest,

“[Trump] has zero desire to be Speaker,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller told Punchbowl News.

It seems likely that the Democrats will move forward with this knee-jerk reaction none-the-less, the President hasn’t lost is touch for freaking out leftists with as few words as possible.
