This award-winning news anchor was left completely stunned after she received multiple complaints from viewers regarding an “inappropriate dress” she had worn recently on-air. Take a look for yourself and decide if you see what the problem is.
In this day and age, it’s increasingly common to be inundated with negative comments about your appearance online. But when news anchor Kristen Nicole had viewers complain about her baby bump – even going so far as to accuse her of wearing a fake pregnancy to boost ratings – she decided enough was enough.
The “Good Day Chicago” news anchor took a stand against these negative messages by shutting down the shade right away with a Facebook post.
It was precisely this unwelcome situation that Kristen found herself in after viewers complained about her baby bump while she was seated behind a news desk wearing a form-fitting blue dress. Surprisingly, some people felt compelled to contact her news station with complaints over how she was dressed – despite the fact that she already had one child and had come into work during this final stretch of her pregnancy.
It’s worth noting that many sent positive messages too, but nonetheless Kristin wasn’t taking any chances and decided to respond directly via Facebook post. She wrote: “LET ME SAVE YOU SOME TROUBLE…My email address is ***, but if you’re writing to tell me that you’re offended by the sight of my baby bump, don’t hold your breath waiting for a response.” She went on further saying how she wears this same dress once per month and will not be stopping just because some nay-sayers were complaining about it.
In addition, Kristen urged everyone else who had sent congratulations or well wishes “You are keeping me motivated through these last 6 weeks” — proving yet again that positivity will always prevail in times like these.
After responding directly on social media, supporters came out in droves thanking Kristen for how great she looks and applauding her for standing up against such negativity.
