Jan 6 Committee Prepares to Go Public With Their “Findings”

Nancy Pelosi’s illegitimate, partisan committee on the January 6th riot is preparing to release its “findings”, but that title maybe inaccurate. What they’re preparing to release has nothing to do with facts or findings, what they’re preparing to release to the public is a narrative. The committee which is composed of seven far-left radical Democrats and two turncoat, anti-Trump, RINOs the s0-called Republicans Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger (Cheney was stripped of recognition by the Wyoming GOP, and Kinzinger has declined to run again.), lost any semblance of legitimate authority when Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejected GOP appointments from Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, (a startling breach of House protocol) and handpicked her own ‘GOP’ Congressman on a basis of their bias against Trump. Here’s the part the belies how concocted and false these “findings”, this narrative will be: the hearings haven’t even begun yet. They won’t for weeks. There’s a phrase for an investigation or legal proceeding that creates their findings before hearing testimony: a show trial.

Why Tease “Findings” Before The Hearings? Simple: They’re Running Out Of Time

The question is: Why would they so obviously put the shambolic nature of the committee on display? Why would they talk about “preparing findings” before the first witness is sworn in to their bit of political theater? Well, even The Huffington Post had to admit this one (No, no link for them), “The committee is up against the clock. Republicans could disband the investigation if they win the House majority in the November 2022 elections. The committee’s final report is expected before then, with a possible interim report coming in the spring or summer.” The trouble with HuffPo’s characterization is that its’ full of poor conditional phrases, a better rewrite would be: ‘Republicans WILL disband the investigation WHEN they win the House majority in the November 2022 elections THEY ARE PROJECTED TO DOMINATE.’  (Projections from: The Hill, WaPo, FiveThirtyEight, The New York Times, et. al.)

The New York Times wrote,

“Republicans’ upper hand in the redistricting process, combined with plunging approval ratings for President Biden and the Democratic Party, provides the party with what could be a nearly insurmountable advantage in the 2022 midterm elections and the next decade of House races.”

Cheney’s bloviating and grandstanding aside: What do they intend to accomplish? President Trump was already post-facto impeached and found exonerated by the Senate, the Democrats for all of their showmanship couldn’t sway the GOP Senators to meet the 60 votes they needed. So what will the Democrats and their two, token, puppet RINO’s “findings” create? Criminal referrals for President Trump and several sitting members of Congress?

The Department of Justice under Biden’s top henchie Attorney General Merrick Garland doesn’t need to wait for a referral to investigate and prosecute. And a referral doesn’t wash away the need for them to mount their own investigation either. In fact many on the left have pilloried Garland, excoriating him for not imposing prosecution based on the Jan 6th narrative already. If Garland had a leg to stand on legally, he’d be using it already. Jan 6th investigations have been rolling for nearly a year and slapping the more violent rioters with mostly misdemeanors, with the off-felony thrown in. As WaPo broke it down, 725 people have been charged.

  • “225 people were charged with assault or resisting arrest.”
  • “75 of those were charged with using a deadly or dangerous weapon against police officers.”
  • “10 individuals were charged with assaulting members of the media or destroying their equipment.”
  • “640 people were charged with entering a restricted federal building or its grounds.”
  • “75 were charged with entering a restricted area with a deadly weapon.”
  • “165 individuals, the office said, have pleaded guilty to a variety of federal charges, from misdemeanors to felony obstruction.”
  • “70 defendants have received some kind of sentence from a judge. “
  • “31 people were ordered jailed.”
  • “18 were sentenced to home detention.”
  • “21 defendants were placed on probation.”

The most severe sentence? “In early December, Robert Scott Palmer, 54, of Largo, Fla., received the longest prison sentence to date among those convicted in the attack. A U.S. District Court judge sentenced him to more than five years in prison.” Palmer had pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and assaulting officers with a dangerous weapon. He had allegedly thrown a wooden plank at officers, sprayed them with a fire extinguisher, and then thrown that at them as well. No officers were injured according to prosecutors.

With all of that said: what is the point? The NARRATIVE. It is a means to its own end. The narrative value of the Jan. 6th “findings” are the Democrats’ only hope of averting the oncoming political apocalypse they are facing in 2022 and 24′. The House and even the Senate could fall to the GOP in 22′ and with Biden and Harris’ polling numbers as they are, a 2024 victory is all but hopeless. And as we said, they are running out of time.
