The Biden Firearm Mandate will be carried out by the same advisor who coached Robert O’Rourke to say,
“Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47!“.
Former Vice-President Joe Biden is naming appointees to his hypothetical cabinet, and named former O’Rourke campaign manager Jennifer O’Malley Dillon as his White House Deputy Chief of Staff.
The ‘Biden’ Mandate or is it the ‘O’Rourke’ Mandate?
According to Fox News O’Malley Dillon has been advocating for mandatory “assault weapons” buy-back since the beginning of Robert O’Rourke’s candidacy. O’Malley Dillon said in an October 2019 Youtube campaign video,
“An assault weapon ban is very, very important, and we need to have it. But that only takes weapons of war off the streets in the future. It does nothing for weapons of war that are currently out there.”
O’Malley Dillon states that in her estimation the buyback would confiscate “15 or 16 million” guns. The implications for our Second Amendment rights are terrifying. This Biden/O’Rourke initiative is a clear and present danger to lawful, responsible gun owners. This move targets the capacity for Americans to defend ourselves and our property from all potential threats as our founders intended.
To be clear: We will buy back every single assault weapon.
We‘ll also license every gun & do a background check on every buyer. That’s what the American people want—and deserve.
The only thing stopping us from ending this epidemic is you & your cowardice. Do the right thing. https://t.co/lPqAv1r9ij

Vice-Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris has called for a more ‘watered-down’ approach to gun confiscation. Harris has claimed that her version of a buyback would “only” confiscate approximately 2 million weapons.

Biden isn’t shying away from this one either, he seems quite proud of himself for blatantly threatening our Constitutional rights. Anderson Cooper asked if a gun owner could say: “a Biden administration means they’re going to come for my guns?”. He was quick to reply,
“Bingo. You’re right if you have an assault weapon. The fact of the matter is, they should be illegal, period.”

So what firearm do they consider an “Assault Weapon”?
The Center for American Progress which is largely considered to be the Progressive-Socialist (and therefore Democratic Party) playbook defines an “Assault Weapon” as follows:
“Assault weapons are semi-automatic firearms—meaning that they fire a round every time the trigger is pulled—that are capable of accepting a detachable magazine and have another military-style feature such as a pistol grip, a folding stock, or a threaded barrel.”
The NRA-ILA tells us that as of 2013 “Semi-automatics account for about 20 percent of the 300 million privately-owned firearms in the United States and the percentage is quickly rising, because semi-automatics now account for about 50 percent of all new firearms bought annually.” In the intervening seven years that number could be up to 30-40 percent, so yes, they’re coming for our guns. Probably about a third of them.
Consider that firearms sales have skyrocketed in the Post-COVID19 and “Total War” from Democrats in the bitter, contentious run-up to Election 2020. Reuters spoke to a first time gun-buyer in October who said:
“Whichever way this election goes, it could get really scary, and it could get bloody.”
“I want to be armed and dangerous.”
Her sentiment is shared by many Americans who now gaze warily across the political aisle, as they strip gun store ammunition shelves bare. Our Second Amendment right is what enables us to protect all other rights. The Biden firearm mandate is designed to erode the right our founding fathers adamantly said “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED”.
