A special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation is now under the spotlight for making “false statements” during his deposition about the agency’s involvement in suppressing news of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan has been leading efforts to investigate this matter and bring those responsible to justice.
The individual in question is Elvis Chan, who was deposed by the House Judiciary Committee in October 2022 regarding his knowledge of events related to the Hunter Biden laptop story.
During his testimony, he claimed that there had been no communication between Facebook and anyone at the FBI beyond a meeting held on that day.

However, Rep. Jordan has recently revealed evidence proving that Chan held a follow-up call with Facebook executives on the 15th of October.
This directly contradicts Chan’s claim that he had “no internal knowledge of that investigation” and demonstrated beyond doubt that he was involved in discussing foreign influence issues related to information published by The New York Post about Hunter Biden.
Furthermore, it appears from documents obtained by the Committee that Section Chief Laura Dehmlow told executives at Facebook that “there was no current evidence to suggest any foreign connection or direction of the leak”.
COMPLETELY FALSE.
The Committee has recently obtained an internal Facebook document PROVING that Agent Chan had a secret “follow up” call with Facebook about the Hunter Biden laptop story on October 15, just one day after the @nypost story and the first Facebook meeting! pic.twitter.com/fPkUQzDIy4

Given this new information, Rep Jordan is determined to continue fighting against censorship and protect the freedom of speech guaranteed under US law – even if it means taking legal action against those responsible for attempting to cover up important information from Americans.
Our investigation remains ongoing and we will continue to update the public with our findings as we prepare and consider legislation to fight the censorship-industrial complex and protect the First Amendment.
