Recently, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) achieved a major victory in their continued battle against Hamas which began on October 7th. According to the IDF, the 7th Armored Brigade and Golani Infantry Brigade successfully captured several important Hamas governmental buildings located in the Gaza Strip neighborhoods of Sheikh Ijlin and Rimal.
This is a significant development as it will help to weaken the power of Hamas within these areas.

The IDF was able to capture some very important sites from Hamas during this operation. They were able to seize their parliament building, government complex, police headquarters, governor’s house (which housed offices for its military wing and police), intelligence division offices, university engineering faculty building (which served as an institute for weapons production and development), another compound with a training base, command center, interrogation rooms, and detention cells.
All of these sites are invaluable resources that will provide the IDF with valuable information regarding Hamas activity in the area.
Pictures released on social media showed Golani soldiers inside both the Gaza parliament building and military police headquarters. This serves as proof that there was indeed an Israeli presence at these locations during this mission.
It also provides evidence that they were successful in their efforts to capture these locations from Hamas forces.
This is a developing story.
